Pixel Perfect Laser Skin Resurfacing

Many people suffer from loose skin, lines, wrinkles, and other signs of advanced age. While facial plastic surgery can help address all of these aesthetic problems, there are non-surgical solutions that may be more ideal. Pixel Perfect™ is one anti-aging treatment available in the Philadelphia, PA area. This non-ablative laser skin resurfacing technique uses target lasers to stimulate the growth of collagen under the skin, promoting the formation of smoother, tighter, and softer skin. Pixel Perfect™ is a service is offered by our Dental-Medical collaborative, deme cosmetic, of which Dr. Steven Copit is the medical director.

Pixel Perfect™ Skin Resurfacing Candidates

Good candidates for Pixel Perfect™ skin resurfacing are people who experience mild to moderate wrinkles associated with the natural aging process. Pitting, acne scars, sun damage, and loose skin and sagging around the face, neck, and chest are also common reasons why people may consider Pixel Perfect™ treatment.

While Pixel Perfect™ skin resurfacing can be performed on people of all skin types and complexions, a full consultation with a cosmetic skin care specialist is necessary. This will help determine if Pixel Perfect™ or another facial rejuvenation treatment is right for your needs.

Pixel Perfect™ Skin Resurfacing Procedure

During Pixel Perfect™ treatment, thousands of microscopic perforations are created in the treated area, though the skin around these perforations remains intact. The skin heals quickly while collagen growth proceeds beneath the skin. The procedure usually takes about 30 minutes to complete, though it make take a bit longer depending on the part of the body being treated and the size of the treatment area.

For many Pixel Perfect™ patients, just a single treatment is necessary. Even though the results are dramatic, future follow-up treatments may be recommended as patients continue to age. In many cases, a follow-up Pixel Perfect™ procedure is performed six months to a year after the initial treatment to help prolong the results. A follow-up treatment plan can be discussed during the consultation process.

Pixel Perfect™ Skin Resurfacing Recovery

There is no downtime required after undergoing Pixel Perfect™ treatment. Patients are able to resume many of their daily activities after the procedure, and will not need to take time off from work. Patients will typically be advised to avoid direct sun exposure to improve the cosmetic results of the procedure and prevent adverse side effects.

Pixel Perfect™ Skin Resurfacing Side Effects

The most common side effect of Pixel Perfect™ is redness, flushing, warmth, and irritation of the skin. Many patients liken the sensation and appearance to a sunburn. This is normal and it resolves on its own after a few days without causing significant discomfort. The skin care specialist may recommend a cream or over-the-counter pain reliever to help ease your discomfort as you recover from Pixel Perfect™ treatment.

Pixel Perfect™ Skin Resurfacing Results

The results of Pixel Perfect™ treatment can be quite dramatic, making patients look years younger and far more refreshed. People who experience issues with sun damage and pitting of the skin no longer have issues with these blemishes and enjoy clear complexions with smoother and more even texture.
